RUDY

Our family lost our dog back in December. We recently got a new dog and his name is Rudy. The boys and girls have been begging me to show them some photos so I'm posting a couple here. Everyone meet Rudy!

Hey Little Ant!

This week we read the book Hey Little Ant by Phillip and Hannah Hoose.  In the story, the boy had to decide if he was going to squish the ant. We never know at the end. The author leaves us hanging. So we did a quick survey to see if we would or wouldn't squish the ant. After that, each student wrote their opinion and had to give reasons why they would or wouldn't squish the ant. They did a great job with their reasons.

The Water Cycle

We have been busy learning about the water cycle and learning some new science words like condensation, precipitation and evaporation.  Here is our science project and some of the student's work.

Fast Forward Visit

Today we got to watch Fast Forward from the high school.  It was especially fun for me because we got to see my daughter Tessa preform. They did a fantastic job!! We got to see them preform What Does the Fox Say? and Thriller! Here are some photos from the performance.

Dr. Bishop You're the One

We had fun celebrating Dr.  Bishop today! Today was "Lame Duck" day at school. First grade sang a song in our duck hats and Dr.  Bishop was sooooo happy! We all got hugs at the end. Thank you Dr.  Bishop for all you do for our school!
